Yesterday 6000 Gathered in Ballyconnell in Support of the Quinn family
Sean Quinn‘s daughter Ciara told a crowd of about 6000 that she, and her siblings were “the true and rightful owners” of the Quinn Group companies.
She went on to state she, and her family declared war on Anglo Irish Bank. “And this is a war the Quinn family is going to win,” she said.
For all that, Quinn clan throws at Anglo bear in mind Sean Quinn worshiped at the high alter of Anglo. He owned 28% of it via CFDs. The demise of Quinn relates to his failure to unwind a 28% block of Anglo shares held in the inherently unstable CFD method. Quinn was never more than a straw man. The point is not that this man got himself into this mess due to his own arrogance and ignorance. The crux of the problem for many is that they unethically sought to stash this collateral away in a most cynical manner; resulting in the Irish taxpayers having to pick up the tab for their sins. This is simply indefensible. It was a shame yesterday to see approx 6000 people exploited by the Gombeen rhetoric of Quinn and his supporters.
The Sean Quinn Jnr Saga
The following evidence emerged from the high court yesterday.
Family members were to receive up to € 7. 5m each if injured or an assassination attempt happened whilst employed by the Russian Companies.
Employment contracts worth up to €36m each were signed.
In addition, substantial annual wages up to €560,000 each with a wide range of benefits
The above evidence was comes from the deliberately smashed computers in their Russian office.
The destruction of the computer happened just a day or so after the High Court made restraining orders against the Quins.
Other emails showed that Sean Quinn Jnr was still dealing with property management issues for these Russian companies, months after the Quinns told the High Court, they had lost control of those companies.
Counsel said the Quinns had given “utterly false” evidence in the High Court contempt proceedings about not being in control of the Russian compnies

Mortgage arrears scheme
Fine Gael Councillor Michael Murphy has welcomed the Government’s provision of free, independent financial advice for homeowners in difficulty with their mortgage. Ah, hem Michael what you fail to highlight is this scheme will only be available for a fraction of those with mortgage difficulties.
The scheme is no more than waffle and hot air. It will solve little or nothing already time to bin it.

Ireland a Review
Ireland has been an astonishingly corrupt society with rampant political criminality at the top of Government and zero accountability since the 1960s… it’s the spoofer, the wide boy, the unscrupulous chancer and con man that have thrived.
I really begin to think that as a nation we enjoy this purgatory called Ireland.

Kenny wants to ‘squeeze maximum’ out of deal
Next, he will want to squeeze water out of a stone. Maybe a true son of Fin M’Coul somehow I doubt it more like the fairy at the end of the garden.
Yes, Prince of Vested interest I will do all you ask.

Secret donor promises €500,000 to help Quinn’s legal action against the former Anglo Irish Bank.
Could this be somebody with property abroad? Maybe rather close to the family. Will the donation be legal, will it be taxable?

Quinns: Judge issues contempt warning ‘if anyone attempted to destroy documents’
A HIGH Court judge – dealing with an application in the Sean Quinn bankruptcy case – has issued a warning today on the risks associated with contempt.
Mr Justice Peter Charleton told Sean Quinn’s daughter Brenda Quinn, and her brothers-in-law Niall McPartland and Stephen Kelly, that if anyone was tempted to destroy documents it would be contempt of court.
After hearing that computer memory sticks had been stolen from Kelly’s car the judge said contempt could arise if documents thrown to the bottom of the sea should later be recovered from a lobster pot.
He said the same could apply in relation to any other ‘‘imaginative’’ scheme to dispose of documents.
Judge Charleton allowed law firm Eversheds, who have represented the Quinns in proceedings involving former Anglo Irish Bank, to withdraw from representing them.
It means they will no longer have legal representation, but the judge was yesterday told by Brenda that the family was determined, if necessary, to legally defend themselves.
The Quinns are seeking to avoid liability for loans of €2.88 billion made to various Quinn companies by the bank, now Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC.)
Mrs Patricia Quinn, Mr Quinn’s wife, and their five adult children have also brought proceedings in the Commercial Court against IBRC, claiming they are not liable for some €2.35 billion of loans made to Quinn companies due to alleged illegal conduct by the bank in advancing them to support its share price.
Judge Charleton told Ms Quinn, McPartland and Kelly that it was “pretty close to inconceivable” that this case could be mounted without some legal advice.
Asked by the judge what they planned to do next now that they had no legal team, Niall McPartland said they were looking for a bit more time to consider their options. For financial reasons they were not able to fund the litigation going forward and did not object to Eversheds comong off record.
Mr McPartland said they had been compelled by the court to make disclosure of documents, but they were having difficulty with how they were going to pay for these disclosure obligations.
Counsel for a Receiver, who has been appointed over Quinn family assets, told the court the Quinns were claiming that certain documents had been stolen and they were writing to them requesting details of the theft and if there was an electronic backup.
THE QUINN FAMILY
Lawyers for the Quinn family will bring an application to the high court to stop representing them. The application is before the court on Monday.
The Quinns say they have been forced to instruct their solicitors to withdraw from representing them.
In a statement, the IBRC noted the motion and said that it would be inappropriate to speculate on the reasons for such a withdrawal.
It said, however, that the Court has made express provision for the discharge of reasonable legal expenses arising from the Quinn family litigation.
Perception is this is no more than tactical manoeuvring by the Quinns -Have pity on us; we have been hard done by, wine, moan we did nothing wrong.
Interview with Sean Quinn Jr
Interviewer: Sean can you describe what it is like to be bunged up in Mountjoy the land of sodomy and sadness.
Sean: To be honest with you prison is not the laugh I thought it would be. Imagine an important guy like me being incarcerated in a dump like this
Do these people not realize that the law of the privileged applies in this case? You must understand that the fiefdom law of Quinn in all cases supersedes common law. How dear those bastards lock me up
Standards here are very low. Blah moan wealth, blah whine riches, people here have no concept of what affluence really means, no appreciation.
Can you imagine being banged up with all those Antos and ethnic Limerick lads?
On my first day, an old black geezer took me under his wing and showed me how to avoid the beatings and rape. I can tell you I am streetwise now. Let me just say I learned lessons in here about recouping the family fortune
Everyone in hear from top to bottom is quiet corrupt and I must say I enjoy that element of prison life.
In here, you can get whatever you want. I have respect as I am now teaching people to read and write, add and subtract. Illiterate drug dealers are paying me good money for teaching them money disposal tricks. I am held in high esteem but for most life is only about slopping out sadness and sodomy. No, worry my man I will be out of this dump soon. The Da will surly come and get me sure, what could go wrong all a big mistake.
